Non-profit Organization Management

Overview

In October 2008, the Founder, Adolphus Parker, had a counterintuitive idea — homeless people helping other homeless individuals. Out of this concept, emerged HHH, which became an official non-profit organization in 2009. Adolphus Parker, the Founder, felt it was his personal responsibility to do something about the dreadful situation of the chronically homeless sleeping on the street. He realized that despite bad choices in addition to mental and addiction issues etc, homeless people still needed housing. It was Mr. Parker’s belief that if these individuals were given the opportunity and empowered, they could do something not only for themselves but for many others, as well. The Founder believed that if the homeless were empowered with a few resources, they could run a social service agency. HHH was designed to be operated and controlled by the clients themselves.
