Overview

HIP2B², an initiative founded by Mark Shuttleworth in 2002, seeks to stimulate interest in science, maths and technology-related subjects as well as developing entrepreneurial skills and thinking amongst youth. We inspire school learners through our content across a select mix of marketing activities to show them that time spent on their studies today can take them places tomorrow and lay solid foundations for their career and future after school. HIP2B² has shown enormous growth since its inception in 2002 and is for many a household name. Moving forward, we want every child to experience this dynamic brand. We aim to align ourselves with partners who are committed to this generation and our country’s economy, and to building the nations’ ability to sustain itself through providing individuals with the right skills and expertise. Anything that builds a nation by changing the way people think and act is a social cause. Yet the brand is currently rapidly adapting to media, publishing and marketing trends as a result of consumption patterns of our audience: Our brand touchpoints reflect the multiple platforms consumed simultaneously and the hunger for content in accessible ‘bite sized’ chunks. The vision is to increase the value of the brand and to capitilise on this value through partners who would like to align with us and ‘piggyback’ on our successes and expertise in the complex youth market.
