Hidden Pony Records and Management

Musicians

Overview

Over the last 13 years, Hidden Pony Records & Management (HPRM) has established itself as one of Canada’s premiere talent development and content creation companies. Originally started as an extension of the company ‘Upper Management’ founded by noted A&R Executive “Parkside” Mike Renaud and his legendary mentor Donald K Donald. Hidden Pony Records absorbed Upper Management in 2014 to become Hidden Pony Records & Management. In late 2017, HPRM began consulting for Slaight Music and it was this initial work that led to Slaight taking over the minority position in Hidden Pony Record & Management. HPRM has been instrumental in launching the careers of such noted acts as JUNO nominees (Jeremy Fisher, Rah Rah, Imaginary Cities, Hannah Georgas) JUNO Award winners Said The Whale as well as The Dirty Nil. Over the years, HPRM has worked with artists from across Canada: BC - Said The Whale, Hannah Georgas, Odds; AB - Royal Tusk; SK - Rah Rah, Erin Passmore; MB - Imaginary Cities, Lanikai; ON - The Dirty Nil, The Effens, Ryan Langdon, Kadeema; QC - Elephant Stone; NB - Jillea; NS - Jon Samuel, Rebekah Higgs; PE - The Danks. The concept of an act’s ‘Authentic Voice’ is the foundation of the HPRM Artist Development Philosophy, in which the voice is amplified through social media to engage and convert Passive Fans to Active Fans as the act’s music and live performances provide the Anchor of Credibility. Establishing a clear brand identity, along with an honest assessment of analytics and trends, has resulted in a series of breakthroughs for Hidden Pony Records & Management artists. Current active roster: The Dirty Nil, Odds, Jeremy Fisher (Junior), Theo Tams, Jillea, Ryan Langdon and Kadeema.
