Herston First Steps is committed to the principles and practices of the Early Years Learning Framework. The heart of our philosophy is the belief in the absolute importance of responsive and reciprocal relationships. Relationships of this nature grounded in mutual respect between all members of our service will create long, supporting and loving learning environments. We believe working in collaborations with educator, family and child by using specific learning outcomes. We use the framework to guide the educators in their curriculum decision making as a part of an ongoing cycle to assist in planning, implementation and evaluation of children’s learning.
