Overview

The Heinz Trox Foundation is an expression of the life's work of its founder, Heinz Trox. Founded in 1991, it paved the way for the continuation of TROX GmbH as an independent company. The object of the foundation is the advancement of scientific projects in the field of ventilation and air-conditioning technology and the support of social and cultural activities. The Heinz Trox Foundation is based in Neukirchen-Vluyn on the left bank of the Lower Rhine. It holds 94 % of the shares in TROX GmbH, which is also based in Neukirchen-Vluyn. With 27 subsidiary companies in 26 countries on five continents, 14 production facilities, and importers and representatives, TROX is present in over 70 countries. Currently, the TROX GROUP has around 4,000 employees worldwide and generates revenues of about EUR 500 million. TROX is the global technological leader in the ventilation and air-conditioning technology industry. The foundation's holdings in the TROX GROUP are its primary asset; its dividend distribution forms the economic basis for its sponsorship activities. By the end of 2015, the total sponsorship volume of the Heinz Trox Foundation had reached approx. €2.5 million. Science and research activities, which are the primary focus of the funding, received approx. €1.65 million, while social and cultural projects received approx. €800,000.
