Overview
Hefty Power was established and registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission on March 12, 2015, with the primary purpose to engage in the business of construction, including maintenance of power plants auxiliaries, transmission lines, substations, distribution systems and industrial facilities including general building and specialty such as: structural and fire protection works. Three (3) incorporators of GPCDC were retired experienced construction/ project managers of the National Power Corporation (NAPOCOR) who are also previously connected with the other power firms engaged in engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) projects for the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP), independent power producers IPP’s) and other government entities. The other incorporators have their own company, one (1) handling accounting and auditing for the different commercial and industrial companies, while the other has a company engaged in general trading and marketing of power industry materials and equipment for transmission lines and substations including communication and protection devices. The organization of Hefty Power was formed as a prime mover to power business development and to extend the technical capabilities in the acceleration of power generation, transmission and distribution projects, and revitalizing the power sector construction industry.
