Overview

HIP is a nonprofit coalition of public and private health care leaders dedicated to increasing access to health care and building stronger local health care systems. Launched in 2004, HIP’s member organizations represent Santa Cruz County's major health care providers and other key community stakeholders. HIP recognizes that our community's health care system is interdependent — when one sector is struggling, everyone is adversely affected. We provide a common voice for health care improvement on behalf of the community and serve as an incubator of effective solutions to reduce disparities in access and quality. Through collaboration, coordination, and integration, HIP works to build systems of care and strengthen the safety net for underserved populations.
