The rationale for Hashtag Media: What are the needs of African youth from the point of view of the media? 1. Access to useful and actionable information on how to best make themselves economically independent and productive while doing something they love in the near and far future. This ties into their unique future plans that include university life, studying abroad, choosing careers, venturing into entrepreneurship, etc. 2. Inspiration from peers who have done something significant that may be of interest to them 3. Exposure to artistic and sporting talent from peers to motivate and encourage them to explore their talents as well.
