Overview

HBS Club of Houston is a non-profit organization serving an estimated 1,300 cross-generational HBS alumni, the school and the greater Houston area for over 30 years. Our purpose is to provide opportunities for alumni to remain connected, to encourage life-long learning, and to promote and elevate the stature of the School within the community through Club programming. A sampling of the Club’s activities includes: Executive Luncheon Series: Monthly lunches providing alumni the opportunity to network as well as hear incredible speakers share experiences that range from their leadership journey and lessons learned to innovations in their industry. HBS Breakfast Forum: A unique group connecting alumni, both old and new, and featured speakers in an informal setting encouraging group discussion. Career Coaching: Career seminars that provide tools and information to assist alumni in all stages of their careers. Topics include executive recruiters, networking, and board opportunities. Alumni have access to family-friendly and members-only events and programs annually that provide unique opportunities to learn, to network, and to have fun. The HBS Community Partners provides continuous learning and networking opportunities for alumni while helping organizations succeed. Our Community Partners program has been revitalized and refocused to provide consulting services to "for profit" companies that are scalable and will create jobs in Houston's African-American community. The Club's intention is to expand this program over time to serve other disadvantaged communities. The HBS Houston Alumni Angels, a forum for HBS Angels and entrepreneurs to come together and share ideas, mentor, and review business plans of early-stage entrepreneurs seeking advice and funding. Alumni access, engagement and relationship building with the greater Houston community. This is an alumni-run presence and is not managed by Harvard Business School (HBS).
