Overview

Hans and Rene, founded in 2010 by Tayo Bolodeoku is a boutique café, bakery and gelateria. A business, born out of passion which shows through in our offerings. Our vision is to become the premier dessert and pastry destination in West Africa. We pride ourselves in being referred to as the “connoisseurs of the sweet life”. We are sticklers for quality and giving the customer an unrivalled experience. We currently operate out of 4 locations with a plan to open more outlets by the second quarter of 2017; the bakery on Abimbola Awoniyi close in V.I, where orders are placed largely by telephone and baked to order, our 150 square meter flagship Italian Café/Gelataria (first if its kind in Nigeria) at Radisson Blu Anchorage in Lagos, and our two stores in the heart of both the Ikeja City Mall and Palms Shopping Center located in Oniru. We offer over 30 different flavors of cupcakes, layered cakes and a variety of pastries and desserts freshly baked in small batches each morning. Our Italian gelato (ice cream) true to its name is produced in our Radisson Blu location by our Italian-trained Maestro. Some of our offerings include at least 40 flavors of gelato and sorbets, freshly baked croissants, glazed and filled gourmet doughnuts, smoothies, freshly roasted coffee, teas, soft serve yoghurt and soft serve ice cream. We like to believe we are a truly innovative company, soaking up from our environment and creating exciting flavors like Agbalumo and Zobo gelato. Our marketing is done largely through social media and we dare to say we have arguably the liveliest Instagram page in Lagos at the moment @hansandrene. Our mission remains that of service to our clientele and so we continue to improve on our offerings, create and innovate based on what we have in our locale and expand the possibilities of our clientele enjoying our products.
