Overview

Grupo Colomé is a family business of Swiss origin located in the province of Salta, Argentina. In 2001, Donald Hess, businessperson and pioneer, along with his wife, founded it intending to make high-end altitude wines in the upper Calchaquíes valleys. Currently, it is run by the second generation, Larissa and Christoph Ehrbar. Colomé Group is formed by two wineries, Bodega Amalaya, located in Cafayate and Bodega Colomé, a few minutes away from Molinos. The group produces about 2 million bottles per year, employs about 200 people in Argentina, and operates in six different estates at heights that range from 1700 meters to 3111 meters. Committed to tourism and hospitality, our group has a Visitor Center, where we organized tours for the tastings; a Museum, home of the art of the renowned artist James Turrell; and a boutique hotel, Estancia Colomé, with nine rooms surrounded by lavender gardens and vineyards. Colomé Group is fervently committed to producing wines of excellence while demonstrating essential values such as passion, integrity and sustainability, and fostering a culture of innovation and empowerment at work. Bodegas Colomé and Amalaya are global brands with representation in more than 30 countries. They are recognized worldwide for the quality of their products, their sustainable agricultural practices, their commitment towards the community, and for representing the identity of Argentine and Salta wines around the world.
