The Georgia Resilience & Opportunity (GRO) Fund is exploring bold solutions to racial justice — and engaging community members and policy decision makers to do it. In the coming months, we’re launching a groundbreaking $13 million guaranteed income program supporting Black women across Georgia. In Her Hands, an initiative of the GRO Fund and GiveDirectly, aims to provide 650 women across Georgia an average of $850 monthly for two years. Launching first in Atlanta’s historic Old Fourth Ward in early 2022, the project will expand to at least two additional sites in Southwest Georgia and the Metro Atlanta suburbs.
