Groß Consulting -maritime management consultancy- Conmpanies history & experiences The company's founder and managing partner, Captain Michael Groß, (diploma of industrial engineer) has been active in international shipping since 1970. From rating to captain wordwide trading, without any limitations, he has experience as a nautical watch officer and captain on heavy lift vessels, coasters, container and passenger ships. Nevertheless, he offers many years of experience in teaching, e.g. as a lecturer at technical colleges in shipping, is a trained pedagogue and certified simulator trainer. Until 2017 he was also an independent shipowner, ship manager and shipping consultant with several of his own companies. He is now making all this experience, knowledge and skills available to the market through the company Groß Consulting GmbH, a maritime management consultancy, with a selected and powerful team of specialists. We are very well positioned, e.g. in the areas of quality management (e.g. Safety/Security/MLC/ISO management. But we also have something to offer you e.g. in the area of education and training and all other maritime aereas. In August 2020, Capt. Treetzen has also become a shareholder of the company! In 2002 he entered the shipping industry and learned his trade from scratch. In 2008 he acquired the master’s licenses in international trade for all sizes of vessels. He gained experience up to the Chief mate on large container ships in worldwide trade and as chief mate and captain on coasters. Captain Treetzen have at one`s disposal as a nautical inspector and personnel manager. Some years he has been working in the companies quality department e.g. as an ISM/ISPS/MLC auditor, of which he became head in 2020. Since December 14, 2021 he has been, like Capt. Groß, managing partner of the maritime management consultancy. Capt. Treetzen will one day completely take over the maritime management consultancy and continue it in the spirit of the founder.
