GRIT - Girls Re-Imagining Tomorrow’s mission is to introduce diverse groups of middle school girls to technology-focused career possibilities with an emphasis on cyber security and AI (Artificial Intelligence). We seek to build confidence in these young women by providing mentorship, as well as holistically approaching these young ladies in the areas of public speaking, online safety and stewardship skills and business etiquette. GRIT was founded in 2017 in response to the increasing shortage of cyber security professionals worldwide, particularly women. We started GRIT to help girls understand what’s available and what they can aspire to, and to encourage them to consider careers in technology – girls can then re-imagine their tomorrow. GRIT is also an attitude. We want to help young women develop the self-assurance and tenacity they need to succeed in their careers—and their lives.
