Overview
The Greensboro Area Convention & Visitors Bureau is an independent, non-profit governmental authority whose mission is to aggressively market Greensboro's assets, maximizing economic impact while providing excellent visitor service. Home to the largest hotel in North Carolina (1,000 guest rooms) plus 85 other lodging facilities nearby and the Greensboro Coliseum Complex, one of the largest entertainment facilities in the Southeast (seats 23,500), Greensboro can easily host events ranging from small corporate meetings to large city-wide events. Our city's central location, easy accessibility and versatile conference facilities make it a destination of choice for meeting planners nationwide. Guilford County ranks third in the state in travel and tourism expenditures, with over $1 billion generated in 2010 and more than 11,000 people employed in travel-related jobs.
