Green Marine - Retrofitting towards climate neutrality is an #innovation project funded by the European Union under the #horizoneurope research and innovation program (HORIZON-CL5-2022-D5-01-01, grant agreement no. 101096522). Innovate UK funding scheme co-funds UK participation in the Green Marine project, receiving a total joint funding of 3,211,835 euros. ๐ฅ The Goal Accelerate climate neutrality of waterborne transport by retrofitting existing fleets. โ Timeline The project began on 1 February 2023 and will run over four years. ๐ก How? The Green Marine team will develop #retrofitting protocols and integrate technology to capture carbon, maximise fuel efficiency and integrate closed air circulation systems to ensure a virus-free and safe environment for passengers. All knowledge and solutions will be integrated through a software catalogue. ๐ Who?
