Cole Compton is a young entrepreneur who founded Green Earth Terrarium when he was a freshman in high school with a mission to create low maintenance, artfully designed centerpieces that could be enjoyed by anyone. Because of these values each environmentally friendly terrarium is hand designed using repurposed glass. It was important from the start that he designed a business model that created a product utilizing sustainable materials. It is also Compton’s intention to give back a portion of the proceeds to organizations that focus on helping youth. This mission to bring Green Earth Terrarium to any home, office, dorm, or apartment is achieved by offering affordable priced terrariums that are visually stunning and low maintenance. Compton is currently a scholar at Watson University in Boulder Colorado. He is attending this prestigious institution to further his knowledge in business and Social Entrepreneurship. Through the guidance of highly respected mentors and a hands on approach at Watson University, he has found new opportunities that have encouraged him to expand Green Earth Terrarium. In addition to his main facility in Milwaukee, Cole has opened up a work space in Boulder, CO where he designs and produces his succulent plant terrariums. Compton handcrafts terrariums for his clients in addition to producing large quantities of individually designed terrariums for stores, art shows and farmers markets. Green Earth Terrarium has ambitious plans to partner with community business leaders, artists, store owners and like-minded people in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to expand its reach all around the nation.
