Overview

Global Weekly was created with one goal in mind. To make sense of the ever-changing, and increasingly hostile geopolitical climate we find ourselves in today. In the face of huge environmental issues, the first major war in Europe in decades, and changing global power structures, it can be difficult to keep track with what's going on. The decades of peace and relative stability, following the collapse of the Soviet Union, are coming to an end. New powers arise, as old powers diminish. The threat of nuclear annihilation is higher than most of us have seen in our recent lifetimes. Global inequality continues to soar, as the exploitation of the Global South continues. The emergence of an increasingly authoritarian China, coupled with the faltering democracy in the US, raises many questions about what the future will look like. As the world gets more hostile, and the geopolitical climate becomes increasingly volatile and confusing, we aim to clear the fog, and make sense of this bizarre world we live in. New articles every week, regular events and webinars, interviews with leading voices and much more!
