Overview

The Six Nations Global Fine Wine Challenge is an International New World Wine Events Platform delivering a rare & exclusive opportunity to all participating wine estates, media & partners by identifying, recognising & show-casing to both trade and consumers the very best of the best ‘New World Wines’ & promoting their outstanding quality, diversity & richness annually. Our judges include Huon Hooke (Australia), Michael Fridjhon (South Africa), Bob Campbell MW (New Zealand), Patrick Comiskey (USA) & Christopher Waters (Canada). For the 2021 Challenge, we are delighted to welcome five leading Masters of Wine into the judging ranks - Toni Paterson MW, Andrea Pritzker MW, Alison Eisermann MW, Nigel Sneyd MW & Kym Milne MW. Previous Judges include James Halliday (Australia), Eduardo Brethauer (Chile), Fabricio Portelli (Argentina), Jon Bonne (USA), Dan Berger (USA), Terry Copeland (New Zealand) & Robert Joseph. "All trophy and medal-winning wines are virtually self-endorsing. The producers who find themselves going home empty handed can console themselves with the knowledge that it is almost sufficient simply to have competed in the Olympics. An award is gratifying, the achievement is simply to have been there. Michael Fridjhon - South African Judge" "The wine quality is higher than any competition of this size in the world - Bob Campbell MW - New Zealand Judge" "It is a humbling experience to be involved in this competition – both as a judge and as a selector. Nothing can be taken for granted. A selection which has already won mountains of accolades in its own country cannot be assumed a certain award-winner here. While there is a remarkable degree of agreement among the six judges, their disparate backgrounds to some extent conspire against unanimity of opinion. Huon Hooke - Australian Judge"
