The Gibraltar Deposit Guarantee Scheme provides the free and automatic protection of your money up to €100,000 (or equivalent of the currency your account is held in) in the unlikely event a bank, one who is licensed by the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission, going out of business. The Scheme is financed by the licensed banks themselves and therefore the depositor does not need to contribute to the Scheme.’
