Overview

Geospike, the world's first geoblogging network launched at SXSW Interactive on March 8, 2012 in Austin, TX. It allows people of all walks of life to capture & share their travels – whatever they may be – to find their way back to points of interest, share with their friends and build up a travel journal. Take a look at the global timeline for the spikes that people have chosen to share with the world Geospike has over 100,000 spikes, 170,000 photos created by our growing user-base. Collectively Geospike users have travelled 0.08 AU, or to put it another way 8% of the distance between the Earth and the Sun, amounting to an equivalent 327 times around the world. Headquartered in Brisbane, Australia is created by a small yet passionate bunch of people, lead by William Denniss and Peter Denniss.
