Overview

Georgia Cares is a statewide non-profit organization committed to serving survivors of child sex trafficking. Our mission is to ensure that child sex trafficking survivors receive quality care and services in the State of Georgia. It is our vision is to see child sex trafficking in Georgia eradicated, and to see survivors restored and thriving. Georgia Cares was created as an initiative of the Governor’s Office for Children and Families (GOCF) as a component of the State’s Response to Human Trafficking in 2009. Georgia Cares is the single point of entry in Georgia for youth under 18-years-old who are victims of Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking (DMST)/Commercial Sexually Exploited Children (CSEC). Georgia Cares staff identifies, screens, and then connects those DMST/CSEC youth to appropriate and specific services. We believe that youth who have been trafficked can be restored to safety, health, and well-being when they are recognized as survivors of sexual abuse and supported with appropriate treatment.
