Overview

Ganatch manages solid waste to encourage households to Recycle in Lebanon, support the recycling community, create employment and inspire active citizenship. With a group of 4 active citizens, Ganatch started in August 2015 by educating 20 households on the process of sorting and recycling, and personally collected their recyclables. We educate and engage households, schools and organizations in managing their solid waste, and ultimately raise awareness on “Recycling with a Purpose”, which is to support and empower the needy and people with special needs. Our aim is to inspire our fellow citizens to tackle issues in their surrounding environment and contribute to their society through our mission of CARE, which stands for establishing a Community of volunteers, inspiring people to become Active citizens, promoting social Responsibility, and creating Employment opportunities to alleviate poverty and empower people with special needs.
