A Centre of Excellence in Hospice, Palliative and Frail Care, providing comprehensive support by responding to a patient’s medical, physical, social and spiritual needs. FWC Hospice & Care Centre initially started to care for HIV/Aids patients in 1991 in a rented building in Hursthill, assisting government with the HIV/Aids pandemic. In 2001, we purchased the Little Gate Shopping Centre on auction and renovated and moved into it in 2009, where we are currently situated. We also extended our services to palliative, frail and hospice care. Our Mission is respect for life by providing care, comfort and compassion to those in our care. Our Vision is to endeavour to be the hospice of choice for end-of-life and palliative care through support in passionate pursuit of excellence and innovation Core values: Commitment, Compassion, Faithfulness, Peace & Gentleness We believe that life is a precious and fragile journey of growth and development; and although death may be a time of sadness and separation, dying is a part of life’s journey that can be embraced with love and dignity.
