Friends of the RUH
Non-profit Organization ManagementOverview
The Friends of the RUH recruit and manage the team of Volunteers who make a difference and enhance the well being of everyone at the Royal United Hospital in Bath. Alongside our few paid Managers, our Volunteers run The RUH SHOP and THE CAFE @B18, where all the profit from sales goes toward additional facilities for patients to which the NHS just cannot stretch. The funds raised through the Friends of the RUH services have gone toward additional wheelchairs, bladder scanners, an ultra sound room in the Breast Clinic to robotic surgical equipment and emergency toiletry packs. The VOLUNTEERS enhance the wellbeing of everyone at the hospital by providing a varied range of support such as Serving tea and Chatting to patients, Tending the gardens, providing Spiritual Care, Breast Feeding Support, Pets as Therapy, Art at the Heart and Dementia Co-ordinators. We are always looking to recruit more active volunteers so if you are interested or know someone who is please visit our website for information on how to apply.
