Friend in Need (India) Trust - FIN - was created after the Tsunami of December 2004 to rehabilitate the village of Kameshwaram near Nagapattinam that had been significantly affected by the tsunami. Today, given our learning over the years, FIN acts as a teaching, training and action research laboratory to contribute to India’s national missions and the global development agenda (Sustainable Development Goals). It is focused on WASH transitions towards a circular economy, i.e. providing access to water and safe sanitation along with appropriate waste management and hygiene behaviour – to create environmental, social value and economic value for a cleaner world.
