Fredriksborg Hotel, is a truly unique hotel, situated in a calm, peaceful and historic environment of northern Värmdö, next to the Oxdjupet straight where most cruise ships pass on their way to Stockholm. The majestic Fredriksborg Fortress, belonging to the hotel area, was built 1724-1735 and was a crucial component in the defense line of Stockholm and Sweden. It can now be used for events, weddings, conferences and guided tours. The hotel area also comprises of the caponier, a canon tower, next to the water. It has a wharf and seven boat places for visitors arriving by boat, and an orangery with a splendid view over the archipelago. The hotel in the 18th century main building comprises of 15 personalized double rooms, restaurant and a conference room sitting up to 20 people.
