HSV International Primary School (Haagsche Schoolvereeniging)

Primary and Secondary Education

Overview

The HSV is an established Dutch International Primary School, offering quality mainstream and special education to the international community in The Hague since 1986. The school is subsidised by the Dutch Ministry of Education, enabling it to offer high-quality education at a competitive fee. This subsidy enables us to continue offering small class sizes, with a maximum of 20 pupils per class. “Global citizenship, life- long learning” is our mission. We strive to enable children to become responsible global citizens and life-long learners in a continually changing world. We use the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) to help realise our goals. The international department educates 500 pupils from more than 50 different countries across the three locations in the Hague. Despite its large population, the settings are small and familiar. The Nassaulaan school (NSS) is in the centre of the city; the Koningin Sophiestraat school (KSS) is situated in Bezuidenhout and Van Nijenrodestraat school (VNS) in Benoordenout. VNS, our newest location, opening just four years ago, has already expanded to become our biggest school. From next year VNS will offer 13 classes. www.hsvdenhaag.nl
