Overview

No.1 provider of clinical family planning services Foundation for Reproductive Health Services India (FRHS India) is a leading Indian Non-Governmental Organisation working since 2009 to enable women and girls to exercise their reproductive rights and choice. In 2015, we emerged as India’s No. 1 provider of clinical family planning services in the NGO and the private sector. FRHS India’s service delivery is free from stigma, judgement, and discrimination, regardless of age, location, background, and marital or economic status. We currently work in 5 states -Bihar, Jharkhand, MP, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. FRHS India's service delivery channels are specifically designed to provide lasting impact on the health outcomes of Indian women and girls. Our Services -Contraception – FRHS India ensures that women and girls, including the most marginalised, have access to comprehensive, affordable, and modern contraceptive methods. Every client receives counselling to enable them to freely choose the most appropriate method to meet their needs. FRHS India provides the full range of contraceptive methods: short-term contraception, long-acting reversible contraception (LARC), permanent contraception (tubal ligation for women and vasectomy for men), and emergency contraception. -Safe Abortion – abortion has been legal in India for a broad range of conditions since 1971 but unsafe abortion is estimated to account for 8% of all maternal deaths in India. FRHS India’s clinics provide two safe methods of abortion: surgical and medical methods. Surgical abortions are provided using manual vacuum aspiration and medical abortions using a combination of Mifepristone and Misoprostol. -Post-Abortion Family Planning/Contraception- Our clinics provide post-abortion family planning counselling and services to help clients prevent future unintended pregnancies and repeat abortions. -Policy & Advocacy in coalition with several partners, works to confront the pervasive -Adolescent SRHR
