Foundation for End-of-Life Care

Overview

As a not-for-profit organization, Foundation for End-of-Life Care was created with the specific mission to help improve end-of-life care and provide funding to meet the special needs of individual dying patients and their families. Hospice care is a very special type of care and philosophy that is estimated that less than one fourth of terminally ill patients who could benefit from hospice ever use it. Foundation for End-of-Life Care works to help fill this gap by providing resources to advance the quality of end-of-life care in several ways such as: - “Special Needs” Grants for Individual Patients and Families for extraordinary expenses that lie outside the realm of hospice care - Research Grants and Partnerships throughout the country, including hospices, teaching hospitals, other providers and academic research centers - Hospice Grants to Share Best Practices - Assistance for Hospice Foundation of America Programs Visit us online to learn more, watch/read our support stories and learn how you can help be a Champion for Improving End-of-Life-Care.
