Overview

Forest Home is a local landmark listed on the National Registry of Historic Places and a tranquil, active cemetery. Established in 1850, Forest Home played an important role in the early growth of Milwaukee, and is the final resting place of many illustrious and notable historic figures. The landmark Chapel, mausoleums, and monuments make for a compelling destination. Our 200 acres of rolling hills and magnificent trees provide a serene park-like place to walk. The cemetery provides any number of burial and cremation options. Forest Home is the only cemetery in Milwaukee to offer natural, green burial in our Prairie Rest area.
