Overview
The Fordham Alternative Investments Club (AIC) is a student organization that promotes the study and interest of different types of alternative investments such as commodities, private equity, hedge funds, real estate, and venture capital. In conjunction with the club, students can receive a specialization in alternative investments and prepare for the Level 1 Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association (CAIA) exam. Club members can attend lectures and garner advice from industry professionals, improve their technical skills with the skill set improvement sessions, and submit their résumés to the club résumé book which is reviewed by potential employers. Students who join AIC gain access to a wealth of information from alumni, professionals, and faculty who share an interest for the alternative investment space. PRIMARY ACTIVITIES -Hosting industry professionals speaker series, professional Q&A panels, & networking events -Providing professional development sessions in Excel, and Bloomberg Professional -Researching and analyzing trends in the alternative investment industry -Publishing a newsletter -Circulating a resume book for connecting top students with employers
