Overview

The emergence of smartphones and tablets as today’s communication devices of choice has resulted in an exponential increase in ’anytime-anywhere‘ demand for high quality internet access. Wi-Fi in India is fast becoming the access technology of choice for the young, and always-connected, population. As a result, providing high quality Mobile Internet Connectivity has become an essential service for all forward-looking businesses and public locations alike, to be able to attract, engage and retain their customers. The emerging consumer trends around consumption of mobile data, demand for speed, device and content eco-systems, fast-evolving world of Internet of Things (IOT), and government’s serious intent and focus on creating a ‘Digital India’, coupled with long-term scarcity of licensed spectrum, is making Wi-Fi increasingly mainstream, and an important part of the ‘heterogeneous network’ design of the future for Telco’s and ISPs alike. FireFly is excited by the opportunity to transform the Mobile Data landscape in India by creating, managing and monetizing Wi-Fi Hotspots. We help our Partner Locations provide seamless, high-speed and secure data connectivity to all their valued customers and visitors on any Wi-Fi enabled device. We are currently creating a Wi-Fi foot-print of exclusive locations in select segments in key Indian cities. We have a passionate set of experts and a robust partner eco-system of renowned Wi-Fi and Network OEMs, SPs/ISPs, and Managed Services Partners that have extensive experience in this space. FireFly has established its presence through an array of top-tier locations covering educational institutes, hospitals, malls, cafes, public hangouts and markets, institutional premises, transit points and corporate parks across the major Indian cities. Our current deployments are in Mumbai, NCR, Pune and Bangalore. We will soon expand our footprint to almost all key cities and urban centres in India.
