Overview

Finca Mono Verde (Green Monkey Farm) is a tropical learning and experimentation farm located in coastal Ecuador. The unique environmental, cultural and agricultural characteristics of the area make it an ideal place for experimenting with new ideas, reviving local traditions and collaborating to create an international learning center that supports a stronger and healthier community. We invite you to be part of FMV through volunteerism, a custom internship, research, knowledge sharing or by making a donation. FMV was started by three friends who fell in love with Ecuador during their Peace Corps service and wanted to find a way to promote sustainable development practices in Jama County, Manabi. FMV hosted over 75 volunteers and interns in 2013/2014 and received it's first community development grant for implementation in 2014.
