Web-based collaboration and document solutions company serving the financial and legal communities. Financialprinter.com was one of the original Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) companies. The company was created to address the limitations of traditional paper-oriented data rooms for lawyers and investment bankers. The company was funded by tier 1 investors, Sutter Hill Ventures, Trident Capital and Granite Ventures., raising approx. $17m of capital over several rounds. Within a year of v1.0 launch financialprinter.com had achieved the milestones of over 5,000 unique professional users and over $9m of sales, but had not achieved profitability. Just before the dot-com bubble burst the company was sold to NYSE-traded Bowne & Co., Inc. in 2001.
