Housing New Zealand provides a range of home loans and home ownership services, to help people into their first home. One example is the Welcome Home Loan which is offered by specific lenders and underwritten by Housing New Zealand. Under this scheme, purchasers only need a 10% deposit but there are caps set on maximum household income and how much you can spend on a home depending on the region. For more information see
