FIKISHA betters cities by reaching and equipping young people to turn and transform their communities. FIKISHA focuses on three key areas that provide a well-rounded approach to strengthening the community. i. Mentorship - Every kid needs people in their life to encourage, guide, and inspire them. FIKISHA staffs and volunteers take time every week to mentor and coach youths within neighborhoods. ii. Scholarship - Education is key to a growing individual and a healthy community. FIKISHA provides scholarships to school for street youth and families in extreme need. iii. Community development - Healthy communities produce healthy people. Health people make healthy communities. FIKISHA engages the community in weekly neighborhood walkthroughs, tutoring programs, and awareness activities.
