Three years ago, with COVID affecting countries and economies worldwide, our small island in the sun was not spared. Our $2.1 billion tourism industry came to a sudden halt and livelihoods were lost. Three years on, we are slowly recovering and with this new recovery, a new form of business that encourages the importance of the virtual world has emerged. The Fiji Tourism Guide allows you to be a part of this progress but with our Fijian “Vakavanua” way at the heart of it all. All of our content on social media and interaction with visitors, while modern, will still be heavily centered on this “Vakaviti” concept. We encourage respect amongst businesses and colleagues, “Vei Rogorogoci” or dialogue between various parties involved but with the aim of ensuring that we all achieve our targets.
