Sylvia Lu is a Feng Shui design consultant. Based in Miami she advises private individuals, businesses, and organizations. Sylvia Lu is of Chinese descent and the understanding of this craft is not only part of her culture and heritage, but it has also been an integral part of her life. She has studied traditional Feng Shui under the tutelage of her mother, Dr. Macy Lu, a renowned Feng Shui Master, and the significance is that the Feng Shui Mastery is passed down from one generation to the next like how it was done in the old days. This lineage dates to the Chow Dynasty of over 3,000 years ago. Sylvia also has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland and studied interior design at the prestigious Chelsea College of Art and Design at the London Institute in England. The advice she gives is customized tailored to the specific needs of the individual. As those who understand Feng Shui know, the work that is involved is more than just placement of furniture. It is a comprehensive evaluation of the aims and goals of those who occupy a particular space so the environment can best reflect those aspirations. Projects on which she has been brought in to advise have included many homes, offices, shops, galleries, hotels, restaurants, bars, clubs and health/beauty spas and more. Some of her more notable projects have included The Mandarin Oriental Hotel, The Ritz-Carlton, program for the Discovery Channel, Florida Live morning show and lecturing at the Library of Congress to name a few.
