Overview

Feminenza –Int’l women’s NGO, est. in 2000 with 12 chapters around the world. Working to provide men, women, and the youth, an opportunity for self-deciding fulfilling possibility, empowerment and a true dignified equal partnership and respect between the genders. We seek to change the way the feminine gender is perceived, especially the way it sees and thinks of itself and its future. The acute underrepresentation of women in leadership has created a situation in which there is little balance or counterweight stemming from a different existential experience, a different perspective. It is of prime importance to offer education, especially to youth, to create new perceptions through paradigm shift, tools and know-how, to break through whatever prevents girls and women from seeing their true potential, value, inner strengths and then work towards achieving their fulfillment, and for those inclined, take an active role in future leadership. In many societies this is almost mission impossible, as women and girls are often living under extreme patriarchal dominance, suffering oppression and GBV. In some countries it is accepted as normal; in others, it is well-hidden but nevertheless exists in many forms of unconscious biases, unspoken stigma, covered up domestic violence and abuse, and this has its determining influence and effect on all girls and women in the world. Men too have had to pay for this oppression: The same forces that view women as inferior creatures and property, have treated men with unbearable cruelty and brutality: in the killing fields of the wars throughout history, the slavery, the exploitation. Feminenza offers perception shifting workshop and experiences on: Gender Respect, Leadership, Understanding and Managing Fear, Forgiveness, Trauma Healing, Community Resilience Development. Results are measurable, allowing survivors and offenders alike, to be rehabilitated, find the will to live, dignity, hope, humanity, & rebuild their life anew.
