The FARAONE group was created in 1969 when Sabatino Faraone built and sold aluminum tools. In 1974 we evolved from being an Artisanal business to a specialised tool engineered Company. In 1979 Piero Faraone started developing Aluminium ladders and the production phase followed. This specific niche was part of the internal company’s division, however in only few years it became a business venture known today as Ima Spa, proudly representing safety, quality, innovation and sustainability. In short time we became the market leader for safe working at height, distinguished by high quality ladders and high-tech elevators, alongside a wide range of associated products. Two new production lines were started in 1989, aluminium ladders and scaffolding, both made in accordance with DIN or European standards. We are also part of the European Commission that has drafted the rules for the manufacture of ladders.
