Overview

Faradair is the UK's pioneering Hybrid Electric Regional Aircraft development company founded in 2014, listed by PwC as a 'future company to watch' in their NetZero 'Future50' report. Faradair has begun the decarbonisation of air travel, via BEHA; a revolutionary hybrid-electric aircraft that will democratise flight across the world. A multi-award winning company that has helped to shape the sustainable aviation and Advanced Air Mobility sector over the last 9 years. Lead by an experienced team with unrivalled commercial market and military sector experience, the BEHA has been designed to meet specific market needs to enable regional flight growth. Faradair is joined by a world class consortium, including Honeywell, MagniX, Dunlop Aircraft Tyres, Nova Systems, Cambridge Consultants, Swansea University and many more, developing an 19 seat utility aircraft that can operate from the thousands of existing regional airfields in countries across the world. The E-STOL (Electric Short Take-Off and Landing) BEHA is capable of conducting Regional mobility of people, cargo, Government special missions including wildfire fighting with full autonomous unmanned flight capability built in, with no airport or air network infrastructure changes. Delivering the benefits of electric propulsion with the type certified reliability of a proven Turbogenerator using either JetA1 or Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) in hybrid configuration, the BEHA delivers operational cost reductions and lower emissions and noise levels via its contra-rotating electric ducted fan motors. As technology development improves batteries and fuel cells, the BEHA's modular power source design, enables it to be fully NetZero capable in the near future with minimal configuration change. The BEHA is a true clean sheet designed aircraft for the 21st century. Propellers are the past, the electric jet is the future!
