Overview

Fair for Life is a brand neutral third-party certification program for fair trade in agricultural, manufacturing and trading operations. It has been created in 2006 to answer a specific request from the organic actors. Beyond the inherent concept of fair price, and from the very beginning of its creation, Fair for Life had the intuition of the growing importance of the value chain's meaning: having a long-term vision, committing with sincerity, and acting in a responsible manner all along the chain. What is making the difference with Fair for Life? The label encourages a supply chain business model which aims resilience for each link in the chain. Fair for Life certification is a tool which enable the valorisation and the protection of exemplary supply chains, where actors has chosen to act responsibly, by implementing economic, social and environmental good practices. By following the framework defined by the Fair for Life certification, producers, processors and brand holders can secure their sales and supplies, with tools such as long-term contracts that include fixed prices, volumes, and by building a true relationship between each others, each actors of the supply chain.
