Overview

Mariano Bonavita started his own design Company in 1993. He created graphic and industrial design working mainly for multinational corporations in the entertainment and leisure fields. In the year 2000, the studio completed the art direction and interactive design for Boca Soccer Museum. Since then, the firm has developed a new interrelated design area named exhibiciónactiva®. (Active Exhibition) A year later, Temaikén, South America´s most important bio-park, opened its doors. exhibiciónactiva® designed visitor centers interiors and interactive premises over a two year period project. They also completed three more visitor centers between 2006 and 2010. By then, assignments started to flow on a regular basis: Tecnópolis showcase, River Soccer Museum and Planetarium of Buenos Aires, among others. A remarkable project to highlight is the interior and exhibit showcase for Punta Tombo Penguin Center in Patagonia. exhibiciónactiva® was coached by the Wildlife Conservation Society while designing their first sketches in their Bronx Zoo´s offices, NYC. Another interesting design experience was the overall renovation of the Temaikén Aquarium, which included a high tech interactive center featuring touchscreen and X-Box Kinect games, conservation movies and a submarine simulator. Since 2013, exhibiciónactiva® designs projects integrating conceptual and technological issues, following the overall construction process from the initial ideas till the opening day. Some of the latest projects include interactive corporate foyers for Visa Argentina, Red Link and Coca-Cola Argentina, an interpretation center for Santa Marta Colombia, a museum for The Walt Disney Company Latam Archives, a historic museum in Salta city and a Building Contents Program for the Ecoparque de Buenos Aires.
