The European Foundation for Democracy is a policy institute that works on prevention of radicalisation. We seek to empower relevant individuals and groups from different European countries by helping to build capacity and resilience among communities. EFD works with practitioners and civil society, media and policy makers, government officials and politicians throughout Europe to identify preventative approaches to address the phenomenon. Based in Brussels, EFD is present at the centre of the European political arena and works closely with European institutions, civil society, and individuals across ethnic and political spectrum in support of democracy and freedom, the rule of law, gender equality, minority rights and independent judiciaries.
