Overview

The ESSEC Philanthropy Chair is an academic chair whose team of researchers aims to better understand philanthropy and to enhance its impact. It produces research about philanthropy, primarily in France and Europe, and disseminates it to the philanthropic sector through events, press articles, infographics, podcasts, videos, etc.). Founded in January 2011 at ESSEC Business School, the ESSEC Philanthropy Chair matches a growing need for research and knowledge about a burgeoning international movement. Since its inception, it has proven its capacity to publish high-level academic and applied research on philanthropy, played an active part in developing a European research network, and established its role in spreading knowledge to philanthropy practitioners as well as to ESSEC students.
