Overview

Our organization EQ&JS Foundation The EQ&JS Foundation is a U.S registered 501(c)3 nonprofit. We focus on improving the quality of life and standards of living for underserved Liberians. We achieve our goals through empowerment, mental health/mental wellness, self-help, education, and practical grass-root projects. Our symbol the Phoenix With the focus of improving life for underserved Liberians, what better symbol for the EQ&JS Foundation than the Phoenix – born of fire with the power of renewal, hope, and grace. We are … The Phoenix Community It is our team of experts, our programs, our facilities, our clients and graduates, their sponsors, and our supporters and our Board. It is us. Our project Zogo Rehabilitation Program The program is focused on rehabilitating social-outcasts, known as Zogos, many of whom were recruited to fight in Liberia’s 14-year civil war which ended in 2003. Living by their wits on Monrovia’s streets, they are typically addicted to various substances, sleep in graveyards and abandoned buildings, and are frequently arrested for their petty crimes. It is a Six-Month Program, run by our team of experts, specifically designed to cleanse the body, mind, and spirit of its Zogo residents. The program also provides self-help instruction and specific job training for residents, as well as access to resources for gainful post-program employment. Phoenix Community Meetings provide ongoing connections and support to help our program graduates lead meaningful and productive lives. Our website: www.eqandjs.org
