Overview

The Environmental and Physical Sciences Students' Association (EPSA) is a Departmental Student Association (DSA) representing all undergraduate students in the Department of Physical and Environmental Sciences (DPES) at the University of Toronto Scarborough. EPSA acts as a comprehensive resource for students by offering assistance and/or guidance in education. We plan events to encourage the interaction and exchange of ideas between staff, students and faculty. Such activities include networking events with faculty and industry professionals, as well as graduate school and career seminars. Most importantly, we offer various academic aids that are accessible to students on campus, including centres for tutoring in chemistry (Chemistry Aid Centre) and physics (Physics Centre) course material. EPSA has also collaborated with several other campus group and departments at the university, including the Academic Advising & Career Centre. In 2016, EPSA was awarded the Campus Life Award – DSA (Departmental Student Association) by the Scarborough Campus Students' Union for consistently working on or off campus to better the student body whether it be in the form of outreach, campaigns or events. This also includes taking advantage of opportunities to promote their mandate and recruit those interested in taking part in their initiative.
