Overview

The Entrepreneur Society is a student-led, non-profit committee that aims to foster the entrepreneurial spirit among the HKU community. We create a platform for ideas to be shared, developed and realized with cross-faculty collaboration as our bedrock. Through hosting interactive activities that encourage early-stage ideation to workshops that validate business ideas, we aim to provide innovative solutions to societal problems. Our Motto Creativity: Members will be given the opportunity to equip themselves with the necessary soft skills in the realm of entrepreneurship as well as harnessing their creativity to convey persuasive yet practical ideas in front of their peers Community: The cornerstone of this society is to allow like-minded individuals form a bond and subsequently a community within the premises of HKU. Connectivity: As connections are important in entrepreneurship, we believe this society acts as a facilitator for students to meet and collaborate with our members as well as guest speakers and advisors. This will allow the diffusion of ideas and promotes collaborative experiences for parties involved. Key Objectives - Create an entrepreneurial community for students to exchange their ideas - Stimulate out-of-the-box thinking - Bring students to develop and realize their ideas through collaborations Vision We aim to create a sustainable ecosystem for HKU students who are going from the ideation stage to getting traction from showcasing.
