Overview

The English Schools' FA (ESFA), formed in 1904, is the National Governing Body for Schools’ Football in England. The organisation delivers well over 40 national football tournaments to school children in England over the course of the school year. The Association creates participation opportunities for over 75,000 school children in England each year through National Cup competitions and via our national network of members organisations that are based in towns and counties throughout the country. The Association also runs two international football programmes each season, England U15 Schoolgirls and England U18 Schoolboys. Through the medium of association football, the English Schools’ FA will support young people, who are in education, to develop: -Self-discipline, loyalty and resilience -Respect for those around them -Positive decision-making -A healthy lifestyle and physical skills -A love and understanding of the game through enjoyment and achievement The ESFA also runs the national campaign, Schools’ Football Week each year in February.
